BUYER PREPARATION
Custom Hat Buying Guides
Bring a clearer brief to your next hat project, whether you start with artwork, a sample reference or a 3D idea.
01 / DESIGN FILES
Artwork File Preparation
For a 3D concept, a transparent PNG helps show the intended logo. For a direct design inquiry, include the best original files you have plus a note about intended position and dimensions.
Artwork detail, color separation and decoration limits are checked for the actual hat, material and method.

02 / HAT DIRECTION
Hat Structure Glossary
Describe the project in layers. Start with the hat shape, then add a structure or use requirement where it matters to the brief.
03 / COLOR REVIEW
Color and Sample References
A screen color, color code or reference image gives the starting point. It does not independently establish the fabric, thread or printed color for production.
State the Color Intent
Provide the reference you have and identify the part of the hat or decoration it applies to.
Check Physical Swatches
Review the relevant fabric and decoration-color references for the project.
Confirm on the Sample
Use the agreed sample to check how the selected colors and materials read together.

BUYER QUESTIONS
Custom Hat Buyer Questions
These answers define what to bring into a project discussion. The final production terms depend on the materials, design and purchasing requirements actually reviewed.
Ask a Project QuestionWhat should I send first?
Start with the hat direction, artwork or reference, estimated quantity and destination. Mark any unknown item as undecided.
Does a transparent PNG work?
A transparent PNG can be used for the 3D concept. It does not replace artwork review or a production file for every decoration method.
How do I describe a hat shape?
Name the hat direction, then note crown profile, panel construction, brim, closure and any use requirement that matters to the design.
Can a screen color become final?
A screen color is a reference only. Confirm fabric, thread and print colors with agreed physical swatches and a sample.
When is a sample needed?
Discuss the sample scope after the design details are reviewed. Shape, decoration, placement and color are checked against the project requirements.
What determines MOQ or timing?
MOQ, sample cost and timing depend on the design, material, decoration, quantity and destination. They are confirmed for the individual project.
Can I send a finished design?
Yes. You can send PNG, JPEG, PDF, a tech pack or reference images directly with your inquiry; the 3D studio is optional.
What can I ask in an inquiry?
Ask about a hat direction, decoration option, file preparation, sample check or any purchasing condition you need clarified for your project.
